“Can you create a room divider with a hidden storage room?”

Our answer? Absolutely – we love a challenge!

A long-term customer in Wales contacted us looking for something completely different for her home office. She wanted to divide the room into two separate spaces while creating plenty of storage and keeping everyday clutter hidden from view.

Designing the Perfect Solution

Although the customer was over 150 miles away, distance wasn’t a problem.

Using the room dimensions provided, our design team created a series of AI concept images before producing detailed manufacturing drawings. This allowed the customer to visualise exactly how the finished room would look before production even began.

Working closely together through phone calls and emails, every detail was refined until the design was exactly right.

Bespoke Furniture Built in Our Factory

Once approved, our team hand-built every piece in our factory next to our showroom in Warminster.

The project included:

• A bespoke room divider with integrated hidden doorway
• Large built-in bookcases
• Hidden storage cupboards
• A spacious made-to-measure desk
• Matching cabinetry throughout
• Traditional shaker styling
• Painted in a contemporary dark finish

The concealed doorway blends perfectly into the furniture, creating a seamless wall of cabinetry while providing access to a hidden storage room behind.

It’s a practical solution that looks fantastic and makes brilliant use of the available space.

Installation Day

Our experienced installation team travelled to Wales to assemble everything on site.

Because each piece was manufactured specifically for the room, everything fitted perfectly, creating what appears to be one continuous piece of built-in furniture.

The finished office now offers:

This recent installation is a perfect example of how we transform difficult areas into practical, beautiful storage. The customer came to us with a room featuring sloped ceilings and limited usable space — something that many standard furniture retailers simply can’t accommodate.

Designed Around the Space

Rather than trying to make off-the-shelf furniture fit, we designed a completely bespoke sliding door wardrobe to work perfectly within the room.

Every detail was carefully considered:

• Full use of height despite the sloping ceiling
• Internal hanging space combined with integrated drawers
• Clean, modern sliding doors to maximise floor space
• A matching chest of drawers to complete the look

By tailoring the design to the room, we were able to turn an awkward layout into a highly functional storage solution.

We started by taking the customer’s idea and turning it into a fully considered design.

Using the measurements provided, we created detailed technical drawings and realistic renderings, allowing the customer to clearly visualise how the wardrobe would look and function in their space before production began.
